What You’ll Experience

This is more than a training — it’s a sacred retreat where you’ll learn, expand, and come home to yourself.

Over two transformative weeks on Costa Rica’s wild Pacific coast, you’ll immerse in a curriculum that bridges heart and technique — blending traditional wisdom with modern embodiment. You’ll learn to:

  • Teach powerful, heart-centered vinyasa

  • Master advanced asana, pranayama, and meditation

  • Explore yoga philosophy and living your practice off the mat

  • Build intelligent, creative sequences

  • Find your voice through cueing and theming

  • Integrate anatomy, alignment, energetics, and hands-on assists

  • Weave yin, stillness, and meditation into your teaching

  • Live with presence, intention, and devotion

Through guided practice, mentorship, and self-inquiry, you’ll refine your voice as a teacher — and embody the essence of yoga, on and off the mat.

  • Not at all. Our training is designed to support all levels — whether you’re newer to the practice or have years of experience. You’ll be guided step-by-step through everything you need to know, and leave feeling confident in your teaching and your path.

  • Absolutely. Most of our students come alone and leave with lifelong friends. If you choose a shared room, you’ll be paired with a same-gender roommate for a comfortable, welcoming experience.

  • You’ll fly into Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR). From there, it’s a ~2-hour drive to Salvatierra Retreat. We’ll support you in coordinating group shuttles closer to the training dates.

  • Transportation to Salvatierra isn’t included, however, we’ll help organize shared group shuttles to make the journey seamless and affordable.

  • Yes! The kitchen at Salvatierra can accommodate most dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free. You’ll have a chance to note your preferences after booking.

  • All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Because this is a high-demand international training with limited spots, all other payments are refundable up to 90 days prior to the retreat commencement date, less any administrative fees. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment in the event of any changes.

  • That’s perfectly okay. Many students join our YTT not to teach, but to deepen their practice, connect with themselves, and explore yoga as a path for living with more presence, intention, and peace. Whether you teach or not, the experience will be deeply transformative.

  • Yes! Upon completion of the training, you’ll receive your 200-hour Yoga Alliance–approved certification and can register as a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200) anywhere in the world.

  • U.S. and most international travelers do not need a visa for stays under 90 days in Costa Rica. No vaccines are required for entry. However, we always recommend checking current travel guidelines and consulting with your healthcare provider about any personal health considerations or recommended vaccines before international travel.

  • Absolutely. Our training program is unique in its depth, structure, and approach. Many certified teachers choose to take our 200-hour training because it’s considered one of the most comprehensive and transformative programs available. Unlike most trainings, we prioritize teaching mastery from the beginning — you’ll start practice teaching on day one and graduate feeling truly confident and ready to lead.

Training Graduate Testimonials

  • "Yoga became my anchor — a place where I could meet myself exactly as I was, process my pain, and rediscover my resilience. Through Present Practice’s teachers and community, I felt empowered to face challenges head on and move through them with confidence. The training taught me that yoga isn’t just a physical practice — it’s a mirror, a refuge, and a way of life. Morgan and Carter held space for deep transformation in a way that met me exactly where I needed it.”

  • “This training was a deeply enriching journey that expanded my practice and clarified my sense of purpose. I came to understand devotion as the heartbeat of service - showing up fully, guiding with care, and living in alignment with my values so that my presence itself becomes an offering. Teaching our group crystallized this truth: yoga is not simply leading movements, but holding space, transmitting care, and fostering positive transformation. I leave this training with a renewed commitment to my practice on and off the mat, carrying forward the lessons, tools, and inspiration it has given me.”

    - 200 HR YTT GRADUATE

  • “I originally began practicing yoga to alleviate a back injury, causing me to fall in love with the physical aspect of it. It’s truly the perfect companion to any other physical discipline. However, a whole new world of yoga opened up when I began to take Morgan’s class. She was the first teacher that introduced me to yoga philosophy and the idea of moving meditation. Since then, my practice has advanced significantly and I began to read and explore more yoga/zen philosophy. Morgan is truly my favorite teacher and I will forever be a student of hers. When she announced her 200-hour teacher training in Bali, I was one of the first to sign up.”
