Overview

The Present Practice 50-Hour Pilates Flow Teacher Training is a comprehensive, mat-based training designed to strengthen your practice, deepen your knowledge, and build your confidence as a teacher.

Rooted in the precision of Pilates and infused with the presence of yoga, this program blends strength, alignment, breath, and embodiment into one seamless method. From day one, you’ll begin practice teaching — receiving real-time feedback and support to help you grow.

Through three progressive modules, you’ll learn how to:

  • Understand the principles and anatomy of Pilates Flow

  • Sequence balanced, intentional classes

  • Cue clearly and confidently

  • Offer hands-on assists and read the energy of the room

  • Practice teach consistently with mentorship and support

You’ll also have the opportunity to teach community classes as part of your practicum.

Ideal for anyone looking to:

  • Deepen their Pilates and mindful-movement practice

  • Build confidence and skill as an instructor

  • Integrate presence, breath, and embodiment into their teaching

All participants receive the Present Practice Training Manual and access to all in-person training sessions.
Studio membership recommended for continued practice but not included.

    You’ll explore the philosophy, principles, and fundamentals of Pilates Flow.


    Includes:

    • History & evolution of Pilates

    • The 6 principles: concentration, control, center, flow, precision, breath

    • The role of breath, full-body flow, centering & savasana

    • How to cue with clarity, confidence & connection

    • Anatomy, biomechanics & functional movement patterns

    • Core activation & safe movement techniques

    • Effective demoing

    • Pilates Flow class structure & framework

    • Practice sessions exploring foundational sequences

  • Theme: Structure Creates Flow


    Learn how to design balanced, intentional Pilates Flow classes.


    Includes:

    • Principles of intelligent sequencing

    • Balancing strength, mobility & recovery

    • Transitions & flow-based class architecture

    • Music, rhythm & energetic arc

    • Integrating intention & mindfulness

    • Designing and teaching short sequences

  • Theme: Embodying the Teacher


    Develop your authentic voice through practice teaching & feedback.


    Includes:

    • Hands-on & verbal assists

    • Reading the room & energetic presence

    • Teaching full classes with mentor feedback

    • Audition preparation

    • Final teaching practicum & assessment

    • Developing your personal teaching philosophy

Training Content

Certificate REquirements

To receive your Present Practice 50-Hour Pilates Flow Certification, you must complete:

  • 50 hours of in-person training

  • Any makeup work for pre-approved absences

  • 1 co-taught community class at Present Practice

  • 2 class observations + completed observation forms

  • 1 written test

Claire croman

Claire teaches from a place of presence, empowerment, and play. With over five years of teaching experience in yoga and Pilates — and having facilitated 12 teacher trainings in the past two years — she brings depth, clarity, and genuine care to her programs.

Her classes blend breath, beat, and alignment, leaving students feeling strong, connected, and inspired. As a trainer, she helps new instructors build confidence, find their voice, and step into teaching as a creative, embodied expression.
