present practice school of yoga
The Present Practice School of Yoga offers immersive yoga teacher trainings rooted in yoga as both a practice and a path. Our in-studio programs, registered 200-hour and 300-hour trainings, and focused 50-hour specializations are designed as containers for study, embodiment, and self-discovery.
Grounded in the wisdom of the Eight-Limbed Path, our curriculum weaves together asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, anatomy, and the art of teaching. Guided by our pillars of Discipline, Discovery, and Devotion, trainees cultivate steady practice, deep inquiry, and trust in the unfolding journey.
Whether beginning with a 200-hour training, advancing through the 300-hour program, or refining focus through a specialization, each experience meets you where you are—supported by experienced mentors, thoughtful structure, and a community rooted in integrity and presence.
These trainings are for those called not only to teach yoga, but to live it—with clarity, intention, and heart.
Certification Pathways
-
200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
Our 200-hour trainings are offered both in Austin and as immersive retreats abroad. These foundational programs introduce yoga as a complete practice—integrating asana, philosophy, breathwork, meditation, anatomy, and the art of teaching. Graduates are eligible to register as a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and leave with a strong foundation for both teaching and personal practice.
-
300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training
The 300-hour Advanced Program is designed for teachers ready to refine their voice, expand their understanding, and step more fully into leadership. Structured as modular intensives, this pathway allows for customization while providing a cohesive, rigorous curriculum. Completion of the 200-hour and 300-hour programs qualifies graduates for 500-hour E-RYT registration with Yoga Alliance.
-
50-Hour Specialty Trainings
Advanced Studies
Our 50-hour specialty trainings are designed for focused study in specific areas of practice, such as Yin, Kundalini, Meditation, or other advanced modalities. These trainings can be taken as standalone programs or applied toward the 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training. Offered in-studio and abroad, each specialty invites deeper exploration, refined skill, and continued embodiment—supporting teachers in expanding both their knowledge and their voice.

Our training format blends self-paced study with an immersive 15-day retreat experience. The flow is designed to move from inner foundation to embodied teaching.
-
Begin your journey from the inside out with School of Being, a self-paced online course authored by Morgan O’Hare. This immersive experience lays the spiritual foundation for the entire training, guiding you into the heart of what yoga truly is—a path of presence, self-discovery, and soulful becoming.
Through poetic teachings, guided reflection, and embodied practices, you’ll explore:
The Eight Limbs of Yoga as a map for living fully
The Koshas and Kleshas as frameworks for self-understanding
Yoga philosophy made practical for everyday life
Rituals, journaling, and movement to reconnect with your truth
This isn’t just a course—it’s your sacred preparation. A chance to ground into yourself before the in-person immersion begins.
-
Step into presence. This retreat-style training takes place in one of the world’s most awe-inspiring destinations, creating the perfect environment for deep learning, embodiment, and connection.
Over the course of 15 days, you’ll live and breathe your yoga practice—through intentional daily rhythm, structured training, and soul-nourishing space. Each day includes:
Morning practices to awaken body, breath, and awareness
Afternoon lectures and workshops on anatomy, alignment, sequencing, and more
Evening practice teaching to grow your voice and your confidence
Time for integration, reflection, nature, and connection
This is where the work becomes real. Where presence becomes your teacher. And where the truth of who you are begins to shine through.
The retreat intensive portion of training serves as the practical application of all you have learned so far, with a huge focus on practice teaching, sequencing, adjusting, and understanding all there is to know about each asana! You’ll deepen your physical practice while gaining invaluable experience teaching yoga classes so you can graduate feeling equipped to step into your role as a yoga teacher.
And like with any Present Practice Retreat, you’ll experience the world and connect to yourself in a way you never have before. Training includes fun activities and excursions to get the most out of your time abroad!
