return to your true nature
A soul-stirring 7-day safari retreat to reconnect with nature, intuition, and your truest self
OCTOBER 24 - 30, 2026
the retreat:
Welcome to Kenya — where wide open skies, untamed wilderness, and breathtaking wildlife invite you to pause, listen, and come home to yourself.
This is not just a yoga retreat. It’s a sacred return. Hosted at the award-winning Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a 90,000-acre private reserve at the base of Mount Kenya, this experience is an invitation to reconnect to your intuition, explore life’s deeper questions, and witness the beauty of the present moment — all while immersed in one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes on Earth.
Each day will flow with intention and wonder: sunrise safaris tracking lions and elephants, yoga and journaling overlooking the plains, nourishing farm-to-table meals prepared with love, and heartfelt connection around the fire. Expect thoughtful workshops, community circles, and plenty of quiet moments to reflect, restore, and remember what truly matters.
You’ll stay in beautifully appointed cottages designed for comfort and connection — with cozy beds, hot showers, private verandas, and panoramic views of the wild. Every detail is rooted in care, from the warm hospitality to the handcrafted meals and once-in-a-lifetime safari experiences.
Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or simply a deeper relationship with life, this retreat is your call back to what’s real — wild, grounded, and full of wonder..
The Journey: Wild Beauty & Inner Guidance in Ol Pejeta
Ol Pejeta Conservancy is unlike anywhere else on Earth. Nestled at the base of Mount Kenya, this 90,000-acre reserve is home to all of Africa’s legendary Big 5 — lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo — and offers a front-row seat to nature in its purest form. Open plains, acacia woodlands, secret valleys, and clear night skies set the stage for a week of awe, presence, and transformation.
Our retreat home is a private luxury safari camp designed for deep rest and reconnection. Each cottage offers sweeping views of the wild, cozy beds, hot showers, and warm hospitality from a team that feels like family. Every detail — from the freshly brewed coffee delivered to your veranda each morning to the fireside turn-down service after evening game drives — is thoughtfully curated to help you soften, settle, and come alive.
Inspired by The Lion Tracker’s Guide to Life, this retreat is about listening inward. It’s about learning to trust your instincts, tune into your body’s wisdom, and follow the quiet inner voice that always knows the way. Just like tracking animals in the wild, the path isn’t linear — it’s intuitive, present, and full of wonder.
Each day we’ll rise with the sun for morning safari drives, often spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and rhinos in the golden light. After brunch, we’ll gather for soul-nourishing yoga and journaling on the open-air deck overlooking the plains. Afternoons may bring cooking classes with local chefs, creative workshops, or simply time to rest and listen. Then we head out again — into the wild for a sunset game drive and “sundowners” in the bush (yes, that’s a cocktail hour in the middle of a safari plain).
This is not just a journey through Kenya — it’s a journey back to your true nature.
What to Expect
This retreat invites you to return to your wildness — through sunrise safaris, soul-deep stillness, and the wisdom of the natural world. With the rhythm of the land as our guide, each day unfolds with awe and intention.
We’ll begin with a private bush flight from Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving just in time for your first sunset game drive and a magical welcome dinner beneath the stars. From there, the days flow with sunrise safaris, yoga and journaling on a deck overlooking the plains, nourishing meals, and deep connection — to nature, to community, and to yourself.
Expect morning coffee and fresh fruit delivered to your door, followed by safari drives that immerse you in Kenya’s wild beauty — spotting elephants, zebras, lions, and rhinos in their natural habitat. Brunch is served overlooking the savanna, followed by spacious afternoons to rest, reflect, and connect with retreat friends.
Each evening, we’ll venture out again for a golden-hour game drive with sundowners in the bush (yes, drinks and snacks with giraffes nearby), returning for candlelit dinners, bonfires, and star-studded skies. We’ll also experience a local cooking class with our incredible hosts, an after-dark safari drive in search of big cats, and a powerful visit to the sanctuary of the last remaining Northern White Rhinos on Earth.
Every part of this retreat is designed to bring you back to presence — through movement, meditation, mindful connection, and the profound clarity that comes when you truly slow down and listen.

Meet your retreat leaders
Bailey Wesselmann
Retreat Leader | 500-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher
Bailey is a longtime member of the Present Practice community and a radiant, grounded presence on any retreat she leads. She first joined us on retreat in Kenya in 2024 — where, during a magical evening safari, she got engaged to her partner Mitch! It was a moment that captured the wild beauty and heart-expanding energy of this land, and it’s one of the many reasons why Kenya holds such a special place in Bailey’s heart.
In 2025, Bailey will return to co-lead our Kenya retreat alongside Morgan — and in 2026, she’ll guide this transformative journey solo, bringing her signature blend of soulful teaching, intuitive wisdom, and joyful presence.
With a background in ballet and a deep love of travel, Bailey’s classes are both strong and fluid, encouraging you to move with presence, grace, and clarity. Her teaching is rooted in embodiment and connection — to yourself, to the earth beneath you, and to the path you’re walking.
This retreat is deeply meaningful for Bailey. It’s where her own transformation was catalyzed — and now she’s here to help guide yours.
On retreat with Bailey, expect inspiring yoga flows, thoughtful journaling, grounding meditation, and the kind of connection that reminds you just how beautiful it is to be alive.
Retreat Coordinator & Photographer
Bailey will be joined by one of Present Practice’s trusted retreat coordinators and a dedicated photographer to ensure your journey is seamless, well-supported, and beautifully documented. From logistics to laughter, you’ll be fully held every step of the way.
