About Present Practice

Present Practice is rooted in the belief that yoga is more than movement — it is a lifelong practice of presence, awareness, and intentional living. What began as a single yoga studio and retreat experience has evolved into a global community united by mindful movement, self-discovery, and the ritual of showing up fully.

Formerly known as Yoga hŌM Austin, Present Practice brings everything we offer — studio classes, teacher trainings, international retreats, and online yoga programs — together under one name and one vision. Our flagship yoga studio in downtown Austin is a sanctuary for movement, reflection, and connection, intentionally designed to support both physical vitality and inner stillness.

Inspired by the places we travel and practice together — from Morocco and Bhutan to Bali and beyond — the space blends warmth, beauty, and quiet reverence. Thoughtful details, a welcoming café, and a curated retail shop invite community before and after class, encouraging connection beyond the mat.

Whether you join us for a daily class in Austin, deepen your practice through a teacher training, travel with us on retreat, or practice online from anywhere in the world, Present Practice offers a grounded container for growth. We believe yoga is not something you do once a day — it is something you live.

At its core, Present Practice exists to support you in becoming more present, more disciplined, and more devoted to the life you’re here to live — on the mat, and far beyond it.

Our Pillars

Everything at Present Practice is shaped by three guiding pillars that reflect both the deeper teachings of yoga and how practice shows up in daily life.

Discipline

Discipline is the commitment to show up consistently. It is the structure that supports growth — returning to the mat, the breath, and the work, even when it’s challenging. Discipline builds strength, steadiness, and trust in the process.

Discovery

Discovery is the willingness to inquire. Through movement, study, travel, and reflection, we explore awareness beyond habit and conditioning. Discovery invites curiosity, courage, and expansion — on the mat and beyond it.

devotion

Devotion is service and surrender to something greater than the self. It is the understanding that practice extends into how we live, relate, and contribute to our communities. Devotion grounds practice in purpose and integrity.

Together, these pillars form a living expression of yoga — not as a philosophy alone, but as a way of being. They guide how we teach, lead, build community, and grow as a values-driven wellness business.
