Finding Flow in Siargao
Travel has a way of gently disrupting your routine, just enough to help you see things more clearly. Add island life to the mix, and everything softens even more. Shoes come off, plans loosen, mornings unfold more slowly, and you find yourself breathing deeper without trying. You move through your days with a little more ease. Siargao has that effect almost instantly, and it’s one of the many reasons we’re coming back.
This May, we’re returning to the Philippines for a yoga and surf retreat on the island of Siargao, a lush, palm-covered paradise tucked into the turquoise waters of Southeast Asia. It’s vibrant and grounding at the same time. Playful, alive, and deeply nourishing. And it’s the perfect place to explore what it really means to find your flow.
This retreat isn’t about escaping your life. It’s about reconnecting with yourself inside of it.
Why Siargao
Southeast Asia has a very special place in my heart. Growing up in France from a young age gave me my first real taste of cultural immersion and the kind of travel that gently, but profoundly, stretches you. Years later, living and studying in Taiwan deepened that relationship with the world, opening the door to island hopping across Southeast Asia and a way of traveling that feels embodied, curious, and alive.
What I love most about this part of the world is the contrast. The richness of culture alongside some of the most breathtaking natural beauty I’ve ever experienced. The way daily life feels slower, more human, and deeply connected to the land and sea. Siargao embodies all of that.
It’s also one of my favorite places to bring people who may be newer to Southeast Asia. It’s stunning without being overwhelming. Adventurous, yet accessible. There’s so much beauty and culture to experience, without it ever feeling intimidating or hard to navigate. You can arrive exactly as you are, curious, open, maybe a little nervous, and feel at home very quickly.
That’s what makes it such a powerful place for a retreat.
A Rhythm of Yoga, Surf, and Sun
Our days in Siargao follow a natural, easy rhythm, one that invites both movement and rest.
Mornings begin with energizing vinyasa in an open-air, ocean-view shala, surrounded by palm trees and the sound of the waves. These practices are strong and fluid, with lots of intention woven into the transitions, designed to help you feel clear, grounded, and fully awake in your body.
From there, the island becomes our playground.
You’ll have the option to learn to surf (truly beginner-friendly - I’ve seen first-timers get up and ride waves), explore the island by boat and by land, snorkel in crystal-clear lagoons, and soak up long afternoons of sunshine, swimming, and wandering into town for coffee or a beachside beer.
Nothing is rushed. Nothing feels forced. The days unfold in a way that lets you follow your energy, whether that means moving a lot, resting deeply, or somewhere in between.
Our Home for the Week
We’ll be staying at Soultribe Siargao, a beachfront retreat space that feels instantly welcoming. Cozy casitas, hammocks between the palms, a pool for mid-day dips, and the ocean just steps away.
It’s the kind of place where you wake up with the sun, walk barefoot everywhere, and feel your nervous system soften almost immediately. Simple, beautiful, and full of heart.
Why Retreats Matter
Travel has always been one of my greatest teachers. When you step outside your routine, your brain and body wake up. Old patterns loosen. You remember that your current way of living isn’t the only way, and that realization alone can be incredibly freeing.
Yoga retreats, in particular, create something really special. Yes, you get to experience a beautiful new place. But practicing yoga together, moving through days with intention, and sharing experiences with a group of like-hearted humans allows those moments to land more deeply. You don’t just see a place, you feel it, remember it, and carry it with you.
That’s why I love leading retreats like this.
This experience is for anyone craving movement, adventure, connection, and a reminder of how good it feels to be fully alive. Come solo or with a friend. Come curious. Come ready to play.
Siargao has a way of meeting you exactly where you are, and gently inviting you to expand.
I can’t wait to share it with you.
