Sayulita 2024

A Retreat of Intention & Transformation

Reflections + an invitation to join us this May 2025

Every time a retreat comes to a close, I sit back in awe. There’s always this moment — usually on the last morning, sipping coffee or walking the beach — where I’m overwhelmed by how much has shifted in such a short time. It’s nearly impossible to put into words what happens when a group of strangers says yes to presence, to vulnerability, to growth. But something beautiful always unfolds.

Last May, 43 of us gathered in Sayulita, Mexico — some solo, some with best friends, all with open hearts and just enough nervousness to remind us this was something real. By the end of the week, that nervousness had turned into full-body laughter, spontaneous dance parties, sunrise swims, and the kind of deep connection that can only come from shared experience.

That’s the thing about retreat. You don’t just go to relax — you go to remember. To return to yourself. To be witnessed in your wholeness. And if you’re lucky, to walk away with a few soul-friends you didn’t know you were missing.

The Fire Ceremony: Courage + Rebirth
One of the most transformative moments was the Temescal — a traditional sweat lodge ceremony that asked us to meet the fire, both literally and symbolically. It was intense. Some of us were scared. And yet… we did it anyway. Together. Holding hands, whispering encouragement, breathing through the heat and discomfort. Emerging raw, clear, alive. I’ll never forget the way we looked at each other afterward — stripped of pretense, rooted in something deeper.

Joy on the Beach, Mud on Our Faces
One afternoon, a quiet walk to the beach turned into a spontaneous mud-covered playdate with the ocean. Grown adults sprinting into waves, shrieking with joy, smearing clay on each other’s faces like kids. I don’t remember the last time I laughed that hard. That kind of joy is medicine.

Breathwork + the Power of Being Seen
In contrast, our breathwork circle brought a quieter, more tender kind of magic. We cracked open. We softened. In one unforgettable moment, two friends shared a story of unwavering love through grief — and gave voice to gratitude that had gone unspoken for years. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Moments like that remind us why we gather.

Nights Under the Stars
With no electricity in the casitas, nights were for presence: stars, stillness, and a group obsession with a game we renamed “Tehone.” It was silly, it was legendary, and it reminded us that joy lives in simplicity.

This is your invitation
If you’ve been craving space to reconnect — with yourself, with nature, with others — this is your sign. We’re going back to Sayulita this May. The same stunning retreat center. The same depth, play, and community. A new group of open-hearted humans ready to remember who they are.

Come with us. Come home to yourself.
